The Government of Karnataka has issued an order dated 17/01/2025, implementing the (Earned Leave) EL encashment facility for all groups of state government officers / employees for a maximum of 15 days during the block period of 2025. Employees can surrender their earned leave to the government and receive cash equivalent to leave salary.
This facility will be effective from 01/01/2025 to 31/12/2025.
Key Highlights of the (Earned Leave) EL Encashment 2025 Order:
- Encashment for a Maximum of 15 Days:
State government officers / employees can surrender their earned leave for a maximum of 15 days during the calendar year 2025 and receive cash equivalent to leave salary. - Application Period:
All eligible government officers / employees can avail of this facility by submitting their application one month in advance. They can choose any month of their preference within the calendar year to encash their leave. - Conditions as per KCSR Rule 118:
Other conditions related to EL encashment specified under Rule 118 of the Karnataka Civil Services Rules (KCSR) will be applicable to avail of this facility.
