Description:

KPSC has released a notification dated 21-12-2024, inviting online applications for the departmental examinations 2024 – 2nd session.

This notification is crucial for state government employees. Because these examinations allow employees who are working in various government departments of the state to enhance their professional qualifications, get promotions and get admission to higher positions in their department.

KPSC organizes these examinations for state government employees who belong to different groups.

Important Dates:

Notification Release Date: 21-12-2024

Starting Date for Submission of Application: 30-12-2024

Last Date for Submission of Application: 29-01-2025

Last Date for Payment of Fee: 31-01-2025

Eligibility:

  1. Government Employees,
  2. Permanent Employees of Government Owned Corporation/Board/Local Bodies/Universities/Authorities.
  • Group-D employees are not allowed to apply for the departmental exam.

How to Apply:

  • Click on the Apply Online for Various Notification button on the Home page of the KPSC website: http://www.kpsc.kar.nic.in
  • Next, click on “Click here to apply Online Application for Departmental Examination-2024-II session”. This will redirect you to the Seva Sindhu portal, where the departmental examination application form will appear.
  • Log in to Seva Sindhu portal:
      1. If you already have an account, log in using your username and password or mobile number OTP.
      2. If you do not have an account, click on “New User? Register here” to create an account. After successfully registering, log in to the portal using your username and password or mobile number OTP.
  • Once logged in, click on the “Apply for KPSC Departmental Exam” link on the Home Page. The online application form will then open.
  • Carefully read the necessary instructions provided in the notification and fill out the form. After filling out the details, click on the Submit A preview of the filled application will be displayed.
  • If all the information is correct, click on Attach Annexure to upload the necessary documents. Once the documents are uploaded, click on Save Annexure.
  • Click on E-sign and then Make Payment to pay the required fee.
  • After submitting the application, an acknowledgment form will be generated. The application number mentioned on the form should be kept for future correspondence.

Examination Centers:

The examinations will be conducted in 3 phases:

  1. At all district centers, including Bangalore.
  2. At divisional centers such as Bangalore, Belgaum, Mysore, Kalaburagi, and Shivamogga district centers.
  3. At Bangalore examination centers only.

The examination schedule for various subjects at different centers will be published on the KPSC website later.

Departmental Exam 2024 - 2nd Session

Exam Writing Method:

For some papers, the exam can be written with the use of textbooks. For example, Accounts Lower, Accounts Higher, General Law Part-1, General Law Part-2, etc.

Exemption:

As per the rules, exemptions for certain subjects/papers are granted based on the marks obtained by candidates in previous departmental examinations and their educational qualifications.
